Kigoma power station supplies power to Kigoma-Ujiji Municipal and New District of Uvinza plus part of the new district of Buhigwe.

To date the station is loaded with maximum load demand of 5.063MW, which is about 81% of the total station available capacity.

The station is operated and maintained by qualified Tanesco staff.
